MSTA held a contest in April and asked for nominations of teachers doing great things in their community. We had over 400 responses! During Teacher Appreciation Week, we are sharing the nominations from the winners.

One of our drawing winners was LeAnne Kastning.  This is what Stephanie Manegold said about LeAnne:

She was on my son’s Mason, kindergarten teacher last school year. He was diagnosed with leukemia at the start of the first grade and she has went above and beyond to help our family. She has been the liaison between us and the school and has become his home-bound teacher. We couldn’t be more grateful for her dedication to our son. She is an amazing woman.

The Missouri State Teachers Association is honored to work with more than 47,000 dedicated educators like LeAnne.

MSTA would like to thank our amazing sponsors Culver-Stockton College and Western Governors University who helped make this year’s Thank-a-Teacher contest possible.
