Savannah fifth-grade teacher Darbie Valenti uses this bowling activity to review for MAP testing in a fun way.

No one likes to cram for state testing in the spring. We make review in our classroom fun by having MAP Bowling every Friday during second semester. Students are presented with review math questions and if they get it right, the teacher rolls a number cube which designates how many pins they get to “knock” down. Once they earn a strike, they get a raffle ticket. At the end of the month there is a drawing. Students get to open mystery doors and reveal a prize. Such a fun, and most importantly STRESS-FREE, way to review for the MAP test.
