The wheels are moving on a long-term plan to increase teachers’ salaries in Missouri. MSTA Executive Director Bruce Moe says the governor’s recent call for improving teacher salaries was an important catalyst.  Yesterday, the State Board of Education heard a proposal to increase teacher salaries in Missouri. The proposal was based on recommendations from the Teacher Table, a stakeholder group of 31 members that included MSTA members. This proposal is an important first step in what will be a longer process.
