What is one of your goals for this year?
One of my goals for the 2019-2020 school year is to implement a Blended Learning Environment. I hold a Masters in Teaching & Technology so I believe I have the experience and knowledge to create this learning environment.
Describe yourself without using the word “teacher” or “educator.”
I am a mother of 2, a wife of a Millwright, and have a passion to shape young minds. I believe I enjoy spending time with family and friends. In my spare time you can find me on the soccer field with my daughter or enjoying the beautiful parks in Missouri.
What is your teaching philosophy?
Academic success begins with believing that all children can achieve excellence. Through the use of active learning strategies, diverse, individualized instruction and support, my students become intrinsically motivated to reach their goals and as a result, lifelong learners. In my classroom, I implement hands-on learning and differentiated instruction. Technology use supports these teaching strategies and steers my students to achieve their very best.
What is something on your bucket list?
Something on my bucket list would be to visit all 50 states. I love traveling and learning new things about our beautiful country. To date I have been to 23 states.
