Seriously, are you familiar with all of the personnel policies in your district? Curriculum policies? Discipline policies? Do you know whom to alert and what to prepare when you need a substitute? Where is the safety shower located if a student or staff person is injured and needs help? If you use FMLA, do you have to use up all your sick days in the same time period?
Take some time over the holiday break to refresh your memory or learn about updates to all your board policies. They are part of your contract and violations can lead to discipline. We want you to know all of your policy rights and obligations.
