Deferring your payment
To make sure your payments are delayed until July, make sure you select "Schedule My Payment" when checking out.
And then choose July as your first payment date.

Who is eligible to participate?
- Any previous member of MSTA can rejoin, regardless of how long their break in service.
- Any education employee who has never been a member of MSTA.
- Retired teachers who are not currently members.
What benefits do members receive?
Members joining under this program receive all MSTA benefits immediately, including:
- Liability insurance (Not available to retirees without Plus Protection.)
- Legal services (Not available to retirees without Plus Protection.)
- Immediate access to support from member service coordinators
- Publications (print and digital)
- Discounts etc.
Please note that previously existing employment-related issues are not covered by liability insurance, legal services, or member service coordinator assistance.
How much are dues?
- Returning certified members pay $230
- Returning associate members pay $90
- New members pay $130
- Retired members pay $25 annual or $250 lifetime. (Note: Plus Protection is an additional benefit that must be purchased separately.)
How do members join?
- Online: Go to https://my.msta.org
- Call: New members call MSTA at 800-392-0532 and ask to join
How do members pay?
- Pay directly using credit card/debit card (Autopay). Payments will begin in July.
