School psychologists have a wide range of responsibilities and serve diverse student populations. Increasingly, School Psychologists are called on to evaluate students with autism and inform their educational programming. Given this increasing need, the University of Missouri Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders is hosting a free monthly web-based professional development series to support School Psychologists in performing these roles.
School Psychologists; please join us in expanding your knowledge related to autism. One hour each month, we will video conference with School Psychologists across the state to enhance skills regarding initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and programming for students with autism. Using this ECHO model (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) and case-based learning, school districts can build capacity within their own school psychological services staff in supporting students on the autism spectrum. Participants will conveniently login online, from their own computer, on the following dates:
Sept 11, Oct 2, Nov 6, Dec 11, Jan 8, Feb 12, March 12, April 9 from 11 a.m. to noon.
