- CTA Makeover Part II: Did you follow through on your 2007 blueprint for accomplishing a CTA goal or goals? Join us to share and exchange with other CTA leaders your success stories from 2007. We will simplify the action-plan process to reassess and retool your 2008 CTA goals. (2007 CTA Makeover is a prerequisite for this workshop.)
- Membership Forms & Processing: Picture this: a bountiful stack of new-member applications and membership-renewal forms. What now? We will show you how to easily and efficiently process, organize and submit membership forms and related documents. Simplify!
- Membership Recruitment 101: Missouri educators have a choice. Membership Recruitment 101 will help you simplify potential members’ choices and streamline your fall membership drive. Topics covered include recruitment opportunities and ideas, organizing your drive, hosting events and tips to keep members coming back.

- 2008 CTA Makeover: What purpose does your CTA serve? CTA Makeover will enable you to use a variety of tools and resources to strengthen your CTA. In this preparatory workshop, you will create and simplify a blueprint for identifying and achieving your CTA goals this year.
- Making CTA Meetings Work for You: Simplify your CTA meetings. Look forward to more productive and efficient meetings with these helpful tips from your MSTA staff. Learn how to deal with schedules, deadlines and difficult participants. In addition, be prepared for votes on key decisions by using our tips concerning the best use of parliamentary procedure.
- Digital Leader Resources: Whether you are a new leader or have run the race before, the new and improved digital Leaders Handbook will simplify your life! During this workshop, you will learn how to use the guide to find information, forms, calendars and much more to keep you on the road to success as an MSTA leader.
- Compelling, Convincing Communications: Learn how effective communication can simplify a message or meeting — or prevent a mishap. Develop and employ strategies for improved written and verbal communication as a result of this session. Topics range from designing meeting fliers and creating newsletters to talking to the media.

- Organizing for Collective Bargaining: Participants will receive information to SIMPLIFY the current legislative status of bargaining collectively and the on-going impact of the May, 2007, Missouri Supreme Court decision. Participants will learn how to SIMPLIFY and streamline membership recruitment and organizing processes.
- CTA Negotiations: Covering the role of the CTA in the negotiation process, participants will learn to SIMPLIFY local negotiations by focusing on the Who, What, Where, When and Why of bargaining.

Topics suggested by past and current leaders include (but are not limited to): Beginning-of-the-year activities; Running meetings; Recruiting new members; Dealing with conflict; American Education Week Activities; Recruiting and training new officers; Public-relations activities; Simplifying your leadership role; And much more... MSTA staff members will be present to answer questions about MSTA philosophies and practices. Choose from one of the following locations:

- Leading with Technology: Would you like to decrease paperwork but increase your ease of communication with MSTA and other leaders? Then this is the session for you. Come and learn how to simplify your role as an MSTA leader using the MSTA Web site. We’ll show you how to log on to the members-only area, fill out and return forms online, register for events and participate in MSTA’s online forums. Learn how you can keep up with education news on the MSTA podcast and blog. We’ll make sure you know where the tools are to make your life easier.
