Changes coming for Convention 2012
Date:
10/8/2012
MSTA's State Convention and Assembly of Delegates is a long-standing tradition, but this year brings some changes to our flagship annual event.
Same place, new name
Our longtime hotel in Kansas City is now owned by Sheraton Hotels. The Sheraton Crown Center is in the same prime location that MSTA participants have enjoyed for years. Sheraton has renovated the lobby, guest rooms and several other areas of the hotel.
New delegate procedure
Delegate credentials and information will be mailed to registered delegates on Oct. 24. Delegates should bring their packets and credentials with them to convention. This change means that delegates will not need to register when they arrive Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. We will have registration available for delegates who have not yet registered and for those who forgot or lost their credentials. This will take place at the Information Desk in the East Lobby Alcove of the Sheraton.
New time for region meetings
Region meetings will take place at 8 a.m., Thursday morning before the Assembly of Delegates. This will be a change from recent years when region meetings took place after the Assembly of Delegates. A complimentary breakfast will be available Thursday morning near the region meeting rooms.
