The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is seeking teachers to work with Missouri's brightest high school students during the 2008 Missouri Scholars Academy.

The Missouri Scholars Academy is a three-week residential program for high school students held each summer at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The program focuses on enhancing participants' academic skills, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities and deepening their understanding of themselves.

During the program, faculty members will present three hours of instruction six mornings per week, and a one-hour class five afternoons per week. Full-time faculty will be compensated with $2,750 and may choose to stay in housing on the MU campus during the program. Meals will be provided.
