Legislative Impact
Staff members in MSTA's governmental relations department:
- Deliver testimony on MSTA's legislative platform
- Attend and provide input at State Board of Education meetings.
- Represent members' interests at Public School Retirement System meetings.
- Serve as liaisons for teachers to governmental agencies such as DESE
- Conduct workshops on political issues and involvement.

MSTA Legislative Impact
Committee
The MSTA Legislative Impact Committee is
funded by contributions from individuals, CTAs and MSTA regions.
It is used to fund lobbying activities and to assist selected
education-friendly candidates in their campaigns for public office.
