Members-only Community Rules and Conditions

This Members-only section of the MSTA website contains a number of social networking tools for Members to exchange information, connect with each other and work together to further education in Missouri. To ensure a productive community the following are conditions for participation:

1.      Be nice. Do not post any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal information or material. Respect other opinions and viewpoints.

2.      Copyright (and other laws) apply; don’t violate them. Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. Do not use any words, logos or other marks that would infringe upon the trademark, service mark, certification mark, or other intellectual property rights of the owners of those marks without the permission of the owners. Do not post any confidential information or any information that would infringe upon the proprietary, privacy or personal rights of others.

3.      If you post it, others may use it. By posting material, you warrant and represent that you own the copyright with respect to such material, have received permission from the copyright owner, and/or that the material is in the public domain. You further warrant and represent that you have the full and unencumbered right to post the material and that the posting will not infringe any rights or interests of others. In addition, you grant MSTA and users of this community a non exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use such information or material in any manner, without payment to you.

4.      No solicitation of services or other products to other members. Do not post any information or other material that constitutes or could reasonably be construed as advertising, marketing, solicitation of business, vending, attempting to sell or promote products or services, or otherwise engaging in or attempting to complete commercial or professional transactions.

5.      MSTA does not generally monitor the information located in the Members-only Community for inappropriate postings and does not assume editorial responsibilities. However, in the event an inappropriate posting is brought to MSTA’s attention, MSTA may take appropriate action including deleting the posting. MSTA reserves the right to terminate, without prior notice, the access of any user that does not abide by these policies.

6.      MSTA takes no responsibility for the opinions and information posted by others. MSTA disclaims all warranties with regard to information posted, whether posted by MSTA or others; this disclaimer includes all warranties of merchantability and fitness. In no event shall ABC be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages, or damages of any kind whatsoever, resulting from loss of use, data or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on this listserv.
